Importance of Your Feedback Rating

High Amazon feedback builds trust with potential customers. This score will indicate to customers that you’re selling good products and can ship them quickly (if using MFN).

Of course, there are some customers who will just choose the first seller they come across on Amazon without researching their feedback or history. But then, there are other Amazon buyers who regularly make purchases on the website and take the feedback of their sellers very seriously. Requesting Amazon Feedback

Amazon allows you to request feedback from buyers. However, you must use an approved method. So, how do you ask the buyer to leave feedback on Amazon? Simply follow these steps:

1) Send an email message to the buyer through the Amazon system. In the subject line, insert the title “Feedback Request.”  

2) On the packaging slip, write a message to the buyer, requesting their feedback (for non-FBA Sellers)

Amazon also lets you use a template to request feedback. However, it is recommended that you write your own custom feedback request instead. Customers who frequently purchase on Amazon do not want to see the exact same words repeatedly from different sellers. Buyers want to see your own customized words, demonstrating how much you care about their business.

Below are four email templates you can use to request feedback. Choose the best template that you think will attract and persuade customers to leave you feedback.

Note: You should wait at least 5 days after an order before sending a feedback request email to customers.

1) Template for Small Business Owners

If you use Amazon as your own small business or to supplement your income for a regular storefront, then this template is for you. Customers who understand you have a small business will also appreciate this template message too.

2) Template for Problem Solving

When a buyer has a problem or issue with your product, they usually contact you directly first and give you the chance to fix any issues.

Sometimes a buyer will just go ahead and leave negative feedback as soon as they receive the product. They may not even give you the chance to fix the problem.

PRO TIP: If you are an Amazon FBA seller and you receive a negative comment from a buyer, you can send a message to Seller Support and request that the comment is removed. However, you can only do this if Amazon FBA caused the buyer’s problem. If you caused the problem, then Seller Support won’t lift a finger to remove any bad comments.

No No No! It is against Amazon's terms of service.

When you send an email requesting positive feedback from a buyer, it cannot contain any kind of coupon or bonus/free offerings.

However, you can send an email that merely offers a coupon or bonus without mentioning feedback. In many cases, buyers will appreciate these extra gifts so much that they will feel "compelled" to leave positive feedback on their own.
